Episode 70

Jo Ashe: The one with the Talking Fortress!

In this episode of “How Do You Say That?!” sponsored by britishvoiceover.co.uk, Jo Ashe joins Sam and Mark to talk about audio walking tours, how to give castles, towers and fortresses a character voice, going from huge to tiny within the same script... and how to properly project a fit of the giggles!

Our VO question this week is all about whether it you that you bring to a script or a character version of you!

Script 1

No-one likes unhappy users.

Getting good feedback is vital!

But traditional end-user surveys don’t work.

Happy IT gives you that vital feedback.

In fact, Happy IT combined with operational data from your block system, gives you ‘outcome based analytics’.

This is a measure of how happy your end-users are with their IT devices, apps and services.

Now you can identify issues, root causes and related processes that need to be changed.

Script 2

Good day to you! I’m up here! But how could you miss me - me the fortress. Since the 13th century I have been sitting high above the Valley. Day in and day out I watch the jolly excitement of the city and the people are very proud when looking up at the fortress hill to see my imposing walls. I have already experienced many things, the funny, the sad and the peculiar; but what is happening now, it truly leaves me speechless; it’s unbelievable the fate awaiting me!
