Anthony Rudd: The one with the 30 Second Dilemma!

In this episode of “How Do You Say That?!” sponsored by Voxbox, Anthony Rudd joins Sam and Mark to talk about squeezing too many words into a thirty second commercial, how TV promos can be voiced in a variety of styles, and how some acronyms are just too difficult to say correctly!

Our VO question this week is all about what you'd tell your younger self about your career!

About our guest:

Anthony was born in the era of Sgt. Pepper and grew up during the 70s practicing piano and recording the world around him with his first microphone. At 16, he worked on Elton John's Ice On Fire album! He then pursued a career in music, playing in various bands and occasionally appearing on BBC 6 Music as a solo artist.

In the early 90s, Anthony tried many jobs before entering the world of radio, where he hosted his own shows on local and regional stations and worked as a "flying eye" traffic reporter on national stations. Alongside his radio career, he started working as a voice-over artist and built his own professional studio. In his free time, he enjoys baking bread, painting, and not bothering people too much so they won't take away his microphone.
